The new medical centre, to be built in the western part of Ajdovščina, will combine all the activities of the Ajdovščina Community Health Centre and the Ajdovščina Pharmacy in a common location.

The following activities will be part of the Ajdovščina Medical Centre’s programmes: family and paediatric medicine, community nursing service, physiotherapy, satellite emergency department, diagnostics, laboratory, central sterilisation unit, gynaecology, dental outpatient clinics, dental laboratory, specialist outpatient clinics, occupational medicine, health promotion and administration.
The project will also include the construction of a state-of-the-art helicopter emergency medical centre. This is an important asset that will provide interventions across the whole of western Slovenia.
Furthermore, a facility is planned in the area for the purpose of providing secondary level healthcare, with a focus on diagnostics and related health activities, which represents a promising investment opportunity.
