As the economic, educational and cultural center of the Vipava Valley, the municipality of Ajdovščina plans to arrange a development and research complex with an approximate area of ​​16 ha in the area north of the Ajdovščina airport. Higher education, the activity of high-tech companies, an aviation museum with a congress center and the production of green hydrogen, as well as sports and recreational areas are planned in the regulatory area.

The PC Ajdovščina – širitev vzhod Industrial Zone, located in the southern part of Ajdovščina, is suitable especially for high-technology industry. Despite being placed within larger industrial area along the motorway, the location still guarantees tranquil and ambient workspace.

Part of the communal infrastructure in the Črniče Industrial Zone was co-financed with funds from the European Regional Development Fund and funds from the budget of the Republic of Slovenia.
